Hi guys~
Many advisors as well as many fellow students recommend other students to go for a Master's Degree if your undergrad GPA is not high enough to be competitive. Well, my question is how can you get into a MS degree program if your udergrad GPA is below 3.0? - Because I believe most of MS programs require you to be at least 3.0 GPA in undergrad courses in order to get into a MS program....
Anyone has any ideas?
Thanks

Hi Mr. Eastern,

I am also suffering from a low 3.4 GPA and I've been told to look into post-bacc classes instead of a master's program. Some schools offer distinctive post-bacc classes, and some schools allow those with a BS/BA to be in grad classes or join in upper division undergrad classes. I was looking into a master's program originally, but decided on taking classes like biochem, molecular biology and some graduate level DNA classes instead of going through the whole master's entrance process.

Hope this was of some help... 🙂

Most schools don't accept anyone into a graduate program without a 3.0 ... One's best chance is at your alma mater. They will be much less stringent on cutoffs with their own students. This is, of course, if you do not apply to a nationally ranked program at your school. Hope this helps.
