Hi all... I am currently working full time as a nurse and am full time taking sciences... My GPA for nursing school is high but my sciences are low... Haven't taken the MCAT yet but what do you think my chances of getting in would be?? I have a 2.8 in sciences currently

Almost nonexistent. Most if not all MD schools ignore apps w/ less then 3.0 sGPA. Get it up to 3.0+ and you could maybe apply to DO.

a lot of schools think the sciences associated with nursing are less rigorous so you need to prove you can handle science. The BSN is great, but unfortunately it has no value in med school because the first two years are entirely science. If you can't prove you can handle science, you are going to have a huge problem getting in. moreover, a sub 3.0 gpa is likely to you autorejected by many schools.

Ohh good points... I have read in the other posts but just to be sure if u had a d in a course and retook for an a the aamcas will still use both for the science GPA?

yes. amcas will use both so there is no huge benefit in retaking except to retake a grade that they won't accept (like a D). aacomas however will replace the D completely. So maybe consider DO schools for retakes.
