Hi guys!
So I have a pretty low gpa- 3.3ogpa, 3.2sgpa, 3.15bcp Horrendous I know! I have A's and B's in practically all of my science classes except chemistry!
Gen Chem: C's first time--> A's the second time
Ochem C's first time-->B+ and A second time
Because I took chemistry classes all throughout college I dont really have an upward trend! I'm in my last term of college and hoping for a 4.0!
I'm applying to Dental school this year and haven't taken the DATs yet but I'm planning to take it this summer and study hard for it!
I know my chances are slim so I was planning to do an informal post-bacc this upcoming year to boost my gpa. Is that a good idea?

I got in my first choice with a 3.2. Will heavily depend on what you get on ur DAT as the admissions office said they were “impressed by my DAT” score. If u can get a 23, i dont beieve u will need to do.

Really?! That gives me hope! Congratulations by the way!
How did you study for the DAT?

Thought I was a genius at first, did a practice test, got a 15 AA. Knew something was wrong so bought DAT Bootcamp. Watched every chem/ochem videos like 3 times, attempted to memorize bio using feralis notes. Didn't study for PAT/Math/RC. Started doing each practice test until i comfortably received a 30 AA on every test. No other resources. Did this for about 4 weeks.

Applied to like 4 schools, Tufts, Penn, NYU, Temple. Interviewed NYU accepted NYU my first choice! To be brutally honest, my personal statement was full of **** so I don't even know why NYU chose me. If you like taking risks, do what I did. If you don't, apply to more schools depending on your stats. People say GPA/DAT is not everything but from my experience, it pretty much determines whether u get in or not.

If you want a detailed schedule, check this post. Hope it helps ya.

23AA for those who don't want to spend $1000 on material

haha wow! yeah im watching the bootcamp videos and then going to practice for the last month so im hoping I get a 20+. However, with my stats, Id like to get a bit higher than that if possible. Thanks! You studied for 4 weeks in total? For how many hours a day?

Yeah about 4.5 weeks, maybe about 5h a day? Really depends on how long u can stay focused. I tend to re focus myself by playing a game of league between each test. All up to you mate.
