Hello,

I have been on SDN for a while and decided to finally post cause I needed some help. I took the MCAT April 13th and did much worse than any of my practice scores, got a 23Q. I will be retaking on July 26th and am wondering if I should send in my primaries now and then retake or wait to submit my primary until AT LEAST after I take my mcat again. Just afraid that I would be applying too late.

My science gpa is a 3.52 and I have really good extracurriculars (president of organization, worked with relief organization, etc etc) and I have decent letters as well.

Any help would be awesome! Thank you

You should submit your primaries with your current MCAT score but only send it to 1 school. Your app will get verified quickly, and then when your improved MCAT score comes in later, it will simply be added to your updated app at which point you can add more schools to your list.

Good luck with the retake!

Thanks for the quick reply! do you mean that for both D.O and M.D?

I apologize, I should have paid more attention to your title. My comment were with regards to the MD application process (through AMCAS). I'm not too familiar with the DO procedure...
