Hi,
My son has the following;
UG Degree: Bioinformatics (May 2019)
GPA : 3.79
MCAT Score: 507
US Citizen
Indian Origin
Resident of Virginia State.
Shadowing with Medical Doctors (Surgery & Family Practice): 140 hours
Internship with Hospital/Medical School.
Research Work with Hospital/Medical School.
Publication (Medical Field): ONE
Member of various clubs including "Students Serving Doctors without Borders", "Bioinformatics Society"

Last year (2018), he applied to more than 30 medical schools, but not selected into any school.

Now I would like to know:
1. What is the best chance to get into any medical school with the same MCAT score (507)?
2. List of medical schools (both MD & DO) can be applied so that my son can able to get admission?
3. Any other advice like additional volunteering, research work, etc.

An early reply/advise is highly appreciated.

Thanks
NRS

Which schools did he apply to this past cycle ? Did he receive any interviews and if so where ? Does he have any clinical volunteering hours with patient contact (besides shadowing) ?

All we can advise on is the likelihood of getting interviews. Getting accept is 100% on your son.
Chances best with the following:
Drexel (maybe)
Temple (maybe)
Jefferson (maybe)
Wake
Tulane
GWU
Albany
Nova MD
VCU
Wayne State (maybe)
Netter (maybe)
EVMS
U Toledo
Seton Hall
Rosy Franklin
Loma Linda (only if you are SDA or a very devout Christian)
Loyola
WVU
Marshall (maybe)
U VM
Rush
MCW
Va Tech (especially if you're from the western, rural part of the state)
SLU
Creighton
Oakland-B
Uniformed Services University/Hebert (just be aware of the military service commitment)
Gtown
Any DO school. I can't recommend Touro-NY, Nova, Wm Carey, LUCOM, for different reasons. MSUCOM? Read up on Larry Nasser and you decide. LMU has an accreditation warning, which concerns me. Start list with VCOM. CUSOM and WVSOM
