Where is your state of residence ? What is your cGPA and sGPA ? Do you have any physician shadowing or clinical volunteering hours ?

in Cali. my undergrad gpa was **** but did a masters and got a 3.6. yes, i have a letter from a DO and did volunteer hours in the hospital. any DO schools in particular. i know some don't screen.
but honestly. i personally don't want to be 30 and still in med school. i personally don't want that :/ even though i know there are many brave souls who do. i might just submit my app just for the heck of it cause I've gone through 30 drafts of my PS and did activities just for med school. so I'm just curious. i would rather get 15 rejections then to have not tried at all.
even if i take it again, and i get average, i don't think it will make a difference?but honestly. i personally don't want to be 30 and still in med school. i personally don't want that :/ even though i know there are many brave souls who do. i might just submit my app just for the heck of it cause I've gone through 30 drafts of my PS and did activities just for med school. so I'm just curious. i would rather get 15 rejections then to have not tried at all.

yea not going to happen.496 is a dismally low score. I would retake the MCAT. You can still apply, but your chance of getting accepted anywhere this cycle is very slim. Spend some time strengthening your application, retake the MCAT, and apply next cycle.
can you message meLet me know when you have figured out your cGPA and your sGPA and I may be able to give you a list of schools to apply to.
Even the brand new ARCOM would be leery of you.Are there any DO schools I can apply to with a low MCAT. A score around 496 that is.
Frankly, with a 496, you're in the risk zone for failing out of med school and/or failing Boards. I can't recommend applying.
Why is that? Because you don't want to be in med school when you're 30? Who cares? You think investing one year now for your future is too difficult?yea not going to happen.

Apply to new schools or post-bacc with direct linkage.
Getting in is very slim with that MCAT though.
That being said, I have a friend who just interview at ARCOM with a 495 and 3.6 uGPA.
I got into VCOM with a 495, after doing thier direct link post-bacc.
If you can only see yourself being a doctor - make it happen, but it may take a year or two to get into a school at this point.
