Low oGPA, good BCPM, decent MCAT

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
oGPA- 3.14
BCPM GPA- 3.70
11/10/10 MCAT

Any chances at MD at all? DO?

What is oGPA? Is that your cGPA or are you talking about the AO GPA?

Also would need to see your EC's and stuff to give you a better idea.

Chance of MD: zero.
DO, yes, but with not all schools. For example, you wouldn't get an interview at mine, alas.

Is the cumulative GPA just too low? As calculated by DO, my numbers are slightly different - cGPA 3.26, BCPM 3.70, sGPA-3.45

I have reasonable ECs but no research. Hundreds of hours as an EMT-B, and a residential aid in a home that serves people with disabilities. Other standard clubs/campus involvement. A few other interesting non-health related jobs.

AACOMAS grade replacement is your friend in this situation. Bottom line - you've gotta get the cGPA up. It can be done, it will just take some time.

For MD school, yes. The avg MD matriculant is 3.6+
