I was accepted into a D.O. school pretty early in the cycle and just couldn't get myself to work anymore. My senior gpa is a 2.56, do you think I could lose my acceptance?

Oh wow..well your gpa as it is is pretty low for medical school cutoff's. However since you are already accepted it might give you an edge to escape any scrutiny..but if i were you i would stay ready to reply to school with an appropriate reason why your grades fell if questioned..its possible your school might just want to hear from you, so just be prepared and don't use procrastination as a reason for your poor performance.

Some acceptances are conditional based on the assumption that you will continue to do as well as normal. They simply don't want people who slack off. I know of cases where acceptances have been pulled because of a low GPA in the senior year. It doesn't happen often, but it happens.
