Hi All,

When I'm going through my practice 1/3rds for the SN2ED schedule, I'm noticing that out of the questions I miss a 1/3 of them will be silly mistakes (not reading the question correctly, misreading a word, answering the opposite if it's a NOT question). Do any of y'all have tips on how to avoid this? It's so frustrating to know that I could have gotten the question right.

It sounds like you've pinpointed your issue. If you were going to advise someone in your same position, what would you say?

I make that obtuse statement because you know yourself the best. Crowd-sourcing anonymous advice is great in theory, but you may get a lot of tips that simply don't work for you. Or worse, no replies at all.

That being said, that used to be an issue for me as well. Here's how I "solved" it
-NOT/OPPOSITE questions: On a pen and paper exam, simply CIRCLE THE BEJESUS out of the NOT. On a digital test, use the highlighting or underlining tool.
-Misreading: Use your inner voice. You certainly can't talk out loud, but you can talk in your head. Enunciate, in your head. This has an added bonus of making you slow down while reading if you have a tendency to skim the question.
