I did a search on this, and did not get the answer i wanted. alright....ain't gonna make any excuses...i didn't realize there is a due date for loyola secondary, and mine is due next tuesday sept 7. monday being labor day, I don't think my stuff will get there on time.

does anyone know how strict the school is on the due date? if i send it tuesday overnight...it will be one day late...would that be ok? i don't wanna waste money and time on this secondary if they will not consider late secondaries.

dude, of course they'll take it. just make sure you send it fedex, and not another carrier.

I was in the same position. Mine was due Sept. 1. I called them on Aug. 30 and asked whether it would be late even though I'm sending it by priority that day. The lady told me that it wasn't necessary. I got two extra weeks; its a policy of theirs. I think the due is just to motivate you.

I think they give everybody two extra weeks. I didn't have an excuse. I just called to ask whether sending it off that day would be late considering my due date. The lady told me not to worry about it and said I would have two extra weeks.

im trying to finish up the essays for loyola. hoping that i can get it done asap and will try to fedex it on wednesday. should i call and at least get an extra day or two to polish up my essay??? any suggestions?

no need to call. like the other poster said, the deadline is just to motivate. I'm sure they don't look every name up in the database and look at your deadlines once you package arrives. just get it in relatively close to the deadline ie, within a week.

the only exception would prolly be electronic submittals of secondaries like NWU. They prolly take away your acess after the deadline, but I said maybe. not necessarily so.

if i remember correctly, can't you just submit your secondary online? This will save you the hassle of snail mail?

Not sure if i DO in fact remember.. you'll have to check, but I'm fairly certain your essays can be submitted online....

the online doing is not an online submission, although i don't get why not. probably just to save on paper/ink on their side.

the due date will be stamped on your secondary application materials you receive from them in the mail.

The admissions folks are very friendly and helpful at Loyola so my advice is not to heasitate to call them about policies and for extensions.
