Anybody know when these folks start offering interviews, or how hard it is to get an interview at these places for an average American med student?
I hope everyone does well in the Match this year! Will post if I get any interviews. Love you, yaah. 🙂

Jefferson has a really good program. Unfortunately there are only 2 spots for next year.

At UTSW, a few interview invitations are just starting to roll out. It takes a long time to review each application, so they'll still be inviting for a long time. I don't know how hard it is to get an interview, but you never know till you try. If it were me...as long as you tell the funniest jokes, give a billion dollars, walk on your hands, yodle, or do something cool, you're in baby!

Garfield you can have the yodlers. Yodling is interesting for about 3 seconds then it gets old. Once you've heard it once, you've heard it all.

When I become PD I will require people in their personal statement to state which episode of Saved By The Bell was their favorite and why. That'll weed out the psychos.

Love you too CJW.

The GI fellow at my program is from LSU and I'm blow away by how much she knows. So I'm assuming they have a solid program.

LSU-Shreveport is a solid program. Only 1 spot for next year, though. I don't know when they start interviewing.

Jefferson has a good reputation and some very big names. MCP-HU (Drexel) is not a very strong program, IMO.
The two places I would recommend in Philly are TJU and UPENN.

Or we'll just get 'em to quote their favorite line from the Karate Kid movies 😉

Garfield interviewing candidate: "What belt do you have?"
If candidate is sharp, would say "Canvas. You like? J.C. Penny. Three ninety-eight".

Or, the ultimate Karate Kid line in a marriage: "I say, you do, no questions."
