Opinions?

I'm living in CA right now and would probably like to practice here as well, should you expect to work in the state you go to school in?

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure you can practice anywhere you choose. A lot of people stay instate for family, familiarity, friends, etc. So, if you like LSU better, you can go to school there and go back to CA to practice. It may be easier to get connections in the state while in school, not sure how valid that is.

Nope! If that were the case, only slightly more than half of the states in this country would have veterinarians. 🙂 You can practice wherever you want.

I think more important than where you want to eventually end up is the difference between those two schools.

Western is a PBL curriculum, and as far as I remember, LSU is not. That could be a make it or break it point for some people, depending on their learning style.

I'm on the waitlist for my instate school and accepted to Western and I sat down and made a pro con list for both schools. There were a few glaring reasons why I would choose Western in the end(if I get off of my waitlist, which is possible). I think it's a good start because you may already know where you should go, but just be torn on actually making the final decision. Plus, there's always the major difference in curriculum if that helps you decide! PM me if you want more details.
