Just trying to see if I can fit more into my work/activities section by 'lumping' related activities.

For example, I worked in three different labs during my undergrad... they they were all at different times. Can I lump them as "Undergraduate Research Assistant" and then explain my jobs at the three different labs in the description?

Or is this frowned upon for being misleading. It sure would eat up a lot of activity slots if I had to list them separately.

One of them was a position I received as part of a scholarship, perhaps I should list that one separately

*thinks*

You can organize it however you want. You have limited space for the descriptions, though. I would find it pretty difficult to describe 3 different research experiences in one description box.

This. I would try and lump things together as long as you have enough room to describe each in the space given. If not, split it up.

I did a lot of lumping in mine.

For example, I have a lot of poster presentations. So, I put "Poster Presentations (8) and Invited Talks (2)" as one as well as "Conferences Attended (6)" as another. Additionally, I've had a lot of random jobs. For this one, I put "Customer Service Positions (6)".

I think that's a good way to make it apparent that you've had a fair amount of experience, but didn't want to list them individually.

As some people have said above, though, I would probably put each research position separately ... since you likely learned different things and had different opportunities in each.
