Hello all,

If anything this post will bring together all those who seek answers about pursuing M.D in canada vs U.S.A.

I have an interesting question. I am one of those whos interested in pursuing a M.D after my Ph.D. I am neither a Canada nor U.S resident. I am pursuing my M.S & research in U.S.A in the field of Tissue Engineering. I would like to do my Ph.D and M.D separate and wanted to find out about Travails of pursuing a M.D in Canada from a foreigner perspective.

comparison of Canada to U.S.A:
P.O.V :
1. Getting a Permanent resident status.
2. Getting into Med school (Depends on 1)
(a) Average MCAT score cut offs (though depends on universities)
(b) Avg GPA cut offs
(c) Welcoming a non-traditional Ph.D background in biomedical engineering instead of a traditional Pre-Med.
3. Cost of Medical school (especially from a foreigner P.O.V)
(a) getting a no-signer loan for Medical school.
4. Residency after Med school in Canada Vs U.S.A.

Thanks!
TJ
