So I'm probably not getting into medical school this cycle so I decided to apply to AmeriCorps because I assumed there was no way any school would still be accpeting applications for M.P.H. But yesterday, I found out that Thomas Jefferson University offers a one year M.P.H. program with an Aug 1st application deadline. Are there any other schools with such late application deadlines (preferably can finish in one year, wouldn't mind taking classes 9-5 M-F including summer)? I know Tolane University has rolling application deadline and someone mentioned it's possibly to finish in year one year plus summer. Is there a way to browse by application deadline in SOPHAS or something? Thanks.

This sounds terrible, but I actually refused to apply for schools that used SOPHAS (i thought it was literally the most annoying process of my academic career). BUT ...I digress.

Right now, it's July so I'm assuming you're looking for programs with rolling deadlines, because no program will have a deadline in the summer for that following fall. I think you'll find it hard pressed to be matriculated at this point because the committees that often make admission decisions are on sabbatical, on vacation, etc.

Your best bet would be to see if you can take some basic level MPH courses at an accredited SPH of your choice as a nonmatriculated student (and as long as your undergrad grades are great, you should have no problem with this), and apply for spring admission to be a matriculate.

Hope this helps!

loma linda university in california has a rolling deadline.

If you're still looking, Eastern Virginia Medical School has an MPH program that I believe is still taking applications.
