Hey y’all so I’m an M1 at a mid-low tier school interested rn in top IM programs. Based on how my school does AOA it’s looking doubtful that I’m gonna be able to get it and so I’m wondering if at this point it makes more sense to focus on boards, research, and ECs instead and focus less on pre clinical exams? Thanks!

Hahaha thanks 😛 Pretty bummed cuz I know AOA is important for the TOP IM programs esp if boards goes P/F but I guess it makes sense to just focus On the other criteria and hope to make up for lack of AOA

Just to be clear, ECs literally don't matter. Focus on boards and research, and obviously make sure that you don't go too far and accidentally fail a class.
