Hello,
I'm contemplating going to grad school for a MA in Psychology to become an MFT in California. I'm wondering -- is it crazy to start grad school with one small child and another on the way? I know there are a lot of academic demands, plus the clinical training....should I wait until my kids are older?? I've been out of school for a while and I don't know what to expect.
Also, I'm having anxiety about dropping $60k+ on an education. What's the career outlook? I was looking at the California Association of MFT survey and from what I gathered, over 50% of the respondents make less that $50k per year. Does anyone else worry about taking on large student loan debts when the economic payoff is questionable?
Thanks!
