I'm a Seattlite and I cannot understand Macklemore's popularity.

Of course the drug addiction is the fault of the doctors, not the junkies....of course.

I have to wonder if Macklemore was a patient of Frank Li, MD and the Seattle Pain Center, and his withdrawal was prompted by the closing of these clinics...there are very few "pill mills" in the Seattle area.

I thought it was a pretty good video and might have an effect on young people eager to get on the norco train. I don't agree with blaming doctors that practice like I think most of us do. But there are many, many doctors to blame who have semi-intentionally gotten patients hooked on weird regimines in order to run their in house urine confirmations. I certainly blame them and think what they do is criminal/shameful. insurances companies are being proactive and yanking these guys off of panels in my state.

Must be the physicians fault he is a crackhead that was doing coke at the age of 16. I mean those damn physicians should stop prescribing cocaine to 16 year olds!

Also those physicians who prescribed Norco to the 73 year old post fusion patient with instrumentation that has OA of the hips/knees/back is at fault because young Mack here decided to "jack the ho for her Norcos homie".

Macklemore clearly stated, all over the internet, that alcohol was the initial poison, getting drunk at age 13 or 14 on his own, then weed afterwards. thats what made him an addict, not prescription opioids.

he did oxycontin 3 times, 5 days each time, and knew what a huge problem that drug was when he took it. he also states he saw 3 friends die from oxy OD.

you might also want to read the lyrics of the song. you of all people, who rail against Purdue Pharmaceuticals, would appreciate what he is saying in the song "Drug Dealer." or "Kevin". yes, he puts blame on doctors, but as much on Big Pharma...

Yeah a drug addict at the age of 13/14 that got addicted to all kinds of medications/drugs (alcohol, weed, oxycodones from illegal sources, probably cocaine) is the result of the "doctor" who probably prescribed it to a 70 year old that he stole the medication from.
