Hello,

Has anyone done the supp. app for U of W-Madison? I've been trying to calculate my last 30 credits but keep getting numbers that are out of gpa range.
Using the formula they give us and not counting this fall term, would I start calculating say spring 07 term to summer 06 term (which is where 30 credits would be if I counted backwards) for the (A) portion
then use my gpa for the summer 07 term (my most recent) for (B)
then use the number of credits in (A)
then divide the resulting number by 30?

That's what I'm doing but it can't be right cuz I'm not getting usable numbers.....and I know that my school goes by semesters so I don't need to be converting anything......

I calculated mine using Excel - must admit I didn't follow their formula. Here's what I did:

I listed each class, the # of credits, and the grade in numerical form (A=4.0, A-=3.7, B+=3.3, etc.)

Then multiply the # of credits by the grade for the course (example: a 4-credit course with a B grade would be 4 credits x 3.0 = 12)

Add up all of the multiplied totals from above, then divide by 30.
