Suppose you are planning to take 8 courses in math, 7 in chemistry, 6 in biology, 3 in physics, 1 in comp sci, 1 in logic, 1 in psychology, and 2 in neuroscience. What would you call this major? Unfortunately, it doesn't qualify for any real major because it's individualized. Furthermore, it will be a B.A. and not a B.S.

I think its really important to list which courses youre actually taking

I would call it BCpM studies. The "p" is small because you are only taking 3 physics classes.

Well, are you designing this major in such a way as to give a particular perspective?

Physical Science?? 😕

"General Studies"

yes general studies or interdisciplinary studies

B.A-Things that will get me into medical school if I get all As

I think a lot of schools have a "University Studies" major.

The one at Baylor University that is the only individualized major is called "University Scholar".

This doesn't seem significantly different from a chemistry or biochemistry major. Why not just do that?

Mathematic and Biochemical Sciences?
It seems like a double major in biochemistry and mathematics

BA in scientific skitzophrenia
-or-
BA in being bill nye the science guy

Well, it looks like you're going to be within 1-2 classes of a math major, within 1-2 classes of a chem major, within 2-3 classes of a bio major, but you can't get any of those because you didn't bother to fulfill the general humanities/social science requirements most schools have. Have you run your plans past your academic advisor? I agree though, in order to be able to pin a name on this 'major', it's really necessary to see WHICH of those classes you're taking. Good luck!

Oh, and if you are planning on applying to med school *which I assume because you are posting on SDN* you should check into the prereqs of the schools you are interested in. I am sure that you know most schools have an english requirement. And several schools have humanities/social science requirements. It may be important to fit in those types of classes in addition to your science-heavy major.

My school has a similar major.
It's called a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Sciences.
G'luck.

I go with Kimka83. It looks pretty close to a math and chem (or biochem) double major with a couple extra random classes. And BA or BS doesn't matter.

Now, if you did:
8 courses in math, 7 in chemistry, 6 in biology, 5 in physics, 4 in neuroscience, 3 in comp sci, 2 in logic, 1 in psychology

You could call it the 8! major (8 factorial!).

Anyhow, that neuro could fall into bio. You might consider looking at a math and cog sci double major too with the neuro, CS, logic, and psych classes.

Perhaps go with something obtuse, like "Applied Principles of Computational, Chemical and Biological Analysis, Studies and Methods". (That's one way to put the "BS" back into it).

If I were you, I would definitely take some humanity classes. Med school like you to be "well rounded" when it comes to your education.

My school would probably list your degree as either an "interdisciplinary studies" or "individual directive studies".
