Psychology, as a major, sounds very interesting to me.

However, I still want to help others and do what I wanted to do before, and become a dentist.

I hear that all it takes to get into dental school is a good gpa and taking the pre reqs...

So I also hear that the major one chooses will not affect dental school. and in fact, choosing a major other than bio or chem will make one stand out.

Follow the advice of others in the thread you've already posted regarding your major. Take your first year to do some exploring, while staying on top of your prereqs.

Like we already told you, it doesn't matter. Don't get too worked up on your major BEFORE you enter college, you have plenty of time to figure it out. Take a psychology class first semester(it should fulfill core requirements) and see how much you like it.

I was a Psychology major and absolutely loved it! Yes, it was a easier courseload than a Bio or Chem major, however having a non-science major makes you a more well-rounded person, whether in the eyes of an adcom member or just to yourself. I'm extremely happy that I was able to spend my undergrad in a non-science major because I knew that dental school would be all science courses. (In addition to the pre-req courses I did take a number of upper-level bio courses just to prove myself to the d-schools).
IMO, psychology is a good major for dental school.

...and I have thus far received 3 acceptances 😀

TO THE OP: stop asking so many dumb, naive questions..just chill..geez...AND USE THE SEARCH KEY..

nobody here is going to be able to tell u what major is the easiest so u can get the highest GPA to get into dental school..if u got into UPenn...then go to COLLEGE CONFIDENTIAL WEBSITE..and ask them whether psych is easy at UPenn...

and for pete's sake stop asking us whether something is going 'to be good' enough for dental school..nobody on this forum is an adcom

My scores are all on my Predents.com profile. However, I did have a 3.9GPA in Psychology 🙂
