I know they base some of your GPA by the hardness of your major. I'm an Econ major 3.5 overall with minors in bio, chem, and history. Will this help any with the minors in science?

yeah it is always good to pick up a minor in a science esp. if you're majoring in a humanties field.

dental schools want you to take upper division classes in biochemistry, immunology, microbiology, etc. You wont take these if you're solely an econ major so it's good that you picked up these minors!

Most schools look at overall GPA and science GPA seperately and count them equally when ranking an applicant. That being said, you want to make sure you are balanced in your studies and do well in your science and non-science courses. One thing we see through is those who "pad" their GPA's with courses that are not necessarily challenging, so stay away from doing this!! Balance is definitely good, well rounded students stand out!
