Will a great letter from an IM doc make up for a less than stellar grade in IM? Say one was to get a HP or P in IM, and they had a great LOR from one of the faculty, would that temper the less than optimal grade or would it matter? I have heard the two most common rotations directors want to see good grades in are IM and Surgery.
