I was just accepted to Auburn and Mississippi State, and I'm still waiting on Ohio, Illinois and Royal in London. The idea of going to school in London is amazing to me, but I 'm curious to hear opinions on these schools, and on going to school in the U.S. vs. UK in general?

If you can afford the travel and living expenses, I'd say choose the UK without a doubt. You would learn so much more, simply by virtue of it being in a different country and learning to face different professional challenges (I'm assuming you're American).

(by "facing different professional challenges", I simply mean that - at least as far as clinical medicine - the marketplace and clients' culture are very different.)

I'm extremely glad that I went to school in the UK. I had a chance to travel in Europe, which was amazing. And it's a great school. Gives you a hell of a lot more opportunities to practice vet med around the world, too.

I would say...go to the cheapest school you get into. Vet school is what you make of it, and that includes international opportunities. If you want to travel abroad for a mission trip over the summer, go for it. But if there is a big tuition/cost of living difference between the UK and US schools (and I'm not sure if there is, just putting it out there), then I would carefully consider that.

LOVED studying in the UK....and I feel like it has opened a lot of doors for me networking wise.
