I was wondering if anyone can help me out. I am finishing my 3rd year on Sept 26th. I plan on taking Step 1 in mid-October and was wondering if there was anyway possible that I can give myself a chance to make the 2004 Match? My main problem is that I have to go straight thru from November 2003 to June 2004 to finish all of my electives on time to start in July. I will essentially have no real time off to interview. I realize that all of my scores have to be in by the ROL deadline in late February. Will programs allow students to take 2 or 3 days during an elective to go for interviews? Thanks for all of your help.

almost all attendings understand when you take days off for interviews....as far as i know. most hospitals have this written in their rotation rules (days off for exams/interviews)

the rest is up to you, really.

cheers and all the best.
