Malpractice Environment in IL

Anyone know much about the current malpractice environment in IL? I know at one time it was really bad. Also, is there some database where one can go to compare average state rates for malpractice? Thanks

About every other billboard along the highways advertises the Illinois State Bar Association's guide to knowing who you can sue.

As a resident, I've been told frequently that IL and Cook county, in particular, are "very litigious."
