I've been reading about different pharmacy jobs and I came across "managed care." From what understand, it involves working in a health organization and helping improve pharmacy care and regulations. But what types of tasks and responsibilities do managed care pharmacists have? I'm guessing research is one of them...

That's not really true. Managed care means a prescription insurance company (Express Scripts, Medco, etc...). The responsibilities would include figuring out which drugs to put on the insurance's formulary (cost/benefit analyses to see whether it's worth it for the company to cover a certain drug). Not sure what other responsibilities would be.
