For schools with mandatory attendance, can you just go ahead and skip class and listen to recorded lectures if that's your learning style? I have a hard time believing that the administration will make a big deal out of it if you are making fine grades

Are you serious right now? Do you know what the word mandatory means?

I actually read that schools may have "mandatory" attendance. Read that on panda bear's blog (what a legend). As in for good students, the school doesn't really care.

Dude, if it's mandatory, it's mandatory. Sit in the back and do your own thing if you don't want to pay attention. But there's not really another interpretation to the word mandatory.

I 100% agree with this. Sadly, a number of DO schools eschew this no-brainer idea to the detriment of many of its students' learning.

If you end up at one of these schools, your best bet dealing with it is to study other lectures during your mandated class time.

Could not agree more. If you're a firecracker user, it's a great time to get your questions done. Mandatory attendance and true P/F are things to highly weigh when choosing a school.

Orangeman25 here is a suggestion the next time you make a thread.
1) Post five links to former threads that are close to answering (or are answering) your question
2) Summarized what you have learned from those threads
3) Then formulate the question from what you have learned
4) Think about if your question has really been answered before you press "post reply"

Your recent threads had made me go :boom:
