I have a question. I'm a first year medical student interested in anesthesiology.

My one concern is my manual dexterity. I am not great at very fine movements but larger movements are okay. I can play the piano fairly well which requires some subtlety of movement. However, after reading the posts I'm wondering about using fine motor skills for tough intubations.

Would practicing that in med school help later on?

By the way I've watched people intubate on YouTube and it is pretty amazing.

It's an honest question. Did you learn a lot of your dexterity or did you come to your clinical years with it?
