Many student committees over a long time

How would you list your student committees over a long time on the application? I am in the student government right now. I am in a research committee. But, I might have to switch to a different committee next year.

Probably just list all of them under one activity called "Student Committees" or something, then in the description you can mention that you were on "six different committees between xx/xx/xxxx and xx/xx/xxxx" for "research, student body government, Fraternity Exec committee, etc."

They're not actually going to check this as long as you elaborate.
