this might not be the right thread to post this question, but does being married hurt or help the application? in other words, does it count as a non-traditional student type thing? i know it's kind of a silly question, but just wondering.
I don't believe it makes any difference at all to the application process, but it might potentially effect the financial aid you'd receive, and when you'd qualify as an in-state resident for tuition purposes (if the spouse is working) if you attend a school out of state.
From what med students have told me, it makes no difference. Some girl's pre-med advisor told her to remove her ring for the interview but she didn't and she got in anyway. Everyone knows advisors are not usually helpful.

doesnt mean anything. At best you will get a question at an interview how you plan to possibly balance a future child or something...but a lot of women get that anyways,
