Maryland Interview how long till they send acceptances?

Hi All,

I have an interview on Feb 10th at Maryland. Maryland is my top choice school, but at the same time I have a Penn Deposit due on Feb 20th.

Does anyone know how quickly UMB responds after interviews? I have seen a lot of Dec 1 and Jan 15th acceptances on predents, but is there any chance UMB will be getting back to me before my Feb 20th Deposit. I sure would like to save the deposit. Thanks!


PS. Does anyone have any interview advice for UMB? I have read other posts and feedback, but if anyone wants to PM me please do. Thankss!! 🙂

A friend of mine interviewed in early Jan. and found out a week later (Jan 15th). I think they have set days (Dec 1, Dec 15, Jan 15) where they send out acceptances. On predents a bunch of people got Feb 19th last year but it might be too late to wait til then and send it to Penn if you dont hear then.
How much is the deposit?

I interviewed on December 2 and I was accepted about a week or two later. I am not sure exactly how many days it took but it was right around 10.

By any chance do either of you or anyone else know how many spots UMB still has available? Are they 1/2 full? 3/4? Just wondering what im getting into. Thanks

I also interviewed at Maryland on the 10th of Feb. Have you heard anything back yet? I have sorta been watching on here and I haven't seen anything yet. Sorta nerve racking as this is my only interview so far. From the messages on this thread, we may not have to wait much longer.

i interviewed at Jan 27th and I'm also waiting!! UMB was like going to a dream school. Dr. Meehan said that instate students will hear soon, while the out of state can take up to april 🙁

I was there on Feb. 4th and I'm still waiting to hear from them as well. According to the last few times I have interviewed there, I know that they send out there acceptances in waves. Last year I interviewed on Feb. 20th, and received my waitlist letter on March 2nd and the year before I interviewed in early November and also received my waitlist letter in the first week of March. So does that mean they fill up the class by end of February? Things might be different this year as many people are still waiting to hear back from them... ME INCLUDED!

I interviewed on Jan 27th and I am still waiting, hopefully thi week would be the week 🙂
