maryland interview

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
check priceline.com i found some great deals there ... i stayed at a 4 star hotel for 70 after taxes and cost of priceline. i think you can probably do better and choose a lower star (i wish i did that).

I know you can stay at a much cheaper hotel or motel outside of the city. Try to find something in Baltimore County or Ellicott City or even Glen Burnie. I'm sure you will find something dirt cheap but you will have to drive to the school in the morning but it's not hard and there is no traffic before the time you have to get to the school.

For the interview itself, go over what you wrote for your strengths and weaknesses in your essay or something (I thought I blew this one but I got in, anyways). Go over SDN interview feedbacks and you should be set.

Good luck and hopefully I'll see you there in Fall 2005.

Hey,
Congatulations on your acceptance!
Thanks for the advice. I am flying down to Baltimore and have never been to the place before so was hoping to find someting close to the Univ. so I could take the metro or a bus.I am looking for something that is below 70 dollars but its pretty hard to find something of that sort in the downtown area.Could you tell me the name of the place you stayed at and how much would a cab cost approx. Im sorry to bother you like this, but I really need help fast cuz my interview is next week.

👍 👍

I live near Baltimore so I drove to the school on the day of my interview but I did a lot of research and calculations and it looks like anything under $80 in the city of Baltimore, especially near the school is a very good price. If you were to find a place outside of the walking distance to the school, you would have to drive to the school and park the car at their designated garage (there is almost no free parking spots in Baltimore. It's either meter or garage.) At any garage in the city, you will pay up to $12 by the time, you get out of the school after your interview. So the best thing is to find a place in the city and see if there is a discount for the Maryland's interviewee's. Anything under $80 is a good deal. Good luck on your interview.

If you are flying into BWI there are hotels there. And you can catch the Lite-rail which goes directly from the airport to down town just 2 blocks from the dental school.

Good luck.
