I promise I have read the interview forum threads but I was wondering if anyone has been on a Maryland interview that has not been on a recruitment day (not Nov 15/ Dec 4). Any specifics how the interview went?! ...sorry there's a lack of info on the other forum!

yea there was a student and a doctor in the room at the same time interviewing me..and it was more of a shooting questions session rather than a conversation...they're supposed to last 30 mins but mine was over in 10-15...i was scared but i ended up getting in so it's not as bad as you think..good luck!

i would be interested to know also.

was the interview stressful whatsoever, or is it as chill/conversational as everyone says?
anything throw you off?
did it seem like they were really trying to get know you rather than grill you?
any clue what % of interviewees they accept?
how would you rate your interview performance? were you accepted?

sorry for all the questions, but maryland is really really high up on my list and i'd like to calm my nerves so i can just be myself (unlike my first interview!).

jb!🙂

p.s. terpie, when is your interview? mine is the 24th.

mine's the 9th! Good luck and hope to see you there next year!

of all the schools i interviewed at, maryland's was the worst. 1 student and 1 faculty member take turns firing off routine questions from a prepared list and then they scribble down whatever you say. it was very boring and not at all conversational. but like most schools, your gpa and dat do all the talking

iowa is worse than that, you and a faculty member and a tape recorder so you just talk to the recorder for 39 questions, the same questions used since who knows when
