has anyone heard anything about university of maryland in the past few weeks, are they still handing out invites?

gosh, i didn't realize there were so many Marylanders on sdn 🙂

I know there was a thread a few days ago on UMD... and I know someone was asking about invites... you might want to search for that thread to see if anyone has heard anything lately.

I know they are really behind this year, so I would assume they are still reviewing applications and sending out invites. Good luck

Anyone know if there is a deadline for the interviewers to turn in their report? I interviewed eight weeks ago, and I still haved recerived a decision. It sucks when you hear of other who heard back after as little as three weeks.

Cytoskelement would be a good person to ask whether interviewers have a deadline. Or why don't you call them and find out what's going on with your application? They are really nice over the phone.

there is no deadline for interviewers to get their forms back. but the adcom is good about getting people done in a reasonable amount of time... sometimes even if they have to bug the interviewers, but i'd guess that some interviewers just don't get back as fast.

JDAD... if it has been 8 weeks... i'd give them a call. be nice! just mention that you interviewed 8 weeks ago and wonder if you'd expect an decision back soon. good luck.

Thanks for the info. I called a few days ago and the ladt was rude. She told me that was normal and to keep waiting.

I emailed Dr. Foxwell today and he resonded very promptly. He assured me he would have my application at the next committee meeting. (Feb 14th)

Maybe I am the only one, but the people who answer the phone at maryland have always been very unhelpful.
