Hey guys,
I was wondering if anyone out there has heard any news about MD. I interviewed in Jan, but havent heard since.
I called and they said, my file is still active and I should here something soon and also I received financial aid and instate classification info.
Maryland is my first choice and I wish they would juss tell me whats the verdict so i know where my 2000 dollar deposit would be goin towards.
If anyone can give me any advice about what to do, that'd be great too.
thanks

I know a guy who interviewed the day before I did (back in November) and he still hasn't heard back from them, whereas I was accepted on Dec. 1. I think I remember reading in another thread that people who interviewed there in Jan. and Feb. usually heard within a week if they were accepted. This probably isn't encouraging, but if you search the Maryland threads it was mentioned by somebody. On the bright side, my spot just opened up! I emailed them about a week ago to decline my acceptance so good luck - I'm not sure when they're full

I interviewed late Jan, I heard from them Feb 24th. On the email subject it said: "February Offers"

It is late in the game, sometimes, they need people to turn down the school before they can give you a spot. Also, im not sure being instate can help you when you applied late... at vcu, i was waitlisted, and it easier to get into vcu than maryland... so dont take personally, sometimes its just the way the system is set up 🙁

good luck :luck:

well, i do know something about their acceptance structure. They send out one round of acceptances at the end of the month every month.
I think my stats are good for md, ive gotten offers from other schools and already sent in a deposit as a backup plan, but i need this instate tuition (also good education).
Thanks for opening up a spot USUaggie!

Maryland is full as of yesterday. Round 2 of deposits are due pretty soon, and it is waitlist only at this point. But, with round 2 of deposits, they anticipate several other spots opening. if you haven't heard from them yet, i'd pretty much assume it's not going to be news that will excite you...

thanks for the information jess. ayeeeee..... I guess I still get to go to Dental school, but juss not where I want to go.
Goodluck to you all!

dont give up yet hammertime, no news is good news. the first deposit was only $300, im sure the second deposit, there will will be people who back out... such as USUaggie. sometimes people fail to inform the school they dont want to go there, and the school only finds out when there deposit isnt in. this will be april 1st

anywas... you will still be a dds 😀 which what matters

good luck, im rootin for ya :luck:
