Does anyone know any information about board scores and specialty rates at UMB?

It depends on you, not the school. That said, the school doesn't release board scores or specialty rates.

I can tell you the competition at our school is fairly low. Not many people gunnin' around here.

No-it means that students, for the most part, aren't uber competitive. It's a fairly relaxed environment for students. This is a HUGE positive.

I'm baffled where the confusion is coming from. I haven't mentioned a single thing about applicants. I'm saying that if you come UMaryland you will find that students, for the most part, are very laid back. I really like my class.

I know people that have barely passed the boards, and people that have got 95. It really depends on how much you put into studying for the boards. Our school gives 3 months off after 1st year to study. You can study for 3 months straight and kill it if those are your intentions.

I think what he means is that the students don't actively compete with each other, but rather U Maryland offers a collegial environment. This is a good thing, because students are generally more happy in a collegial environment.

Outstanding news! When did you submit?
I submitted to Maryland 10/1/09 and am still 'Under Review' (status on AADSAS). It looks like they updated something on AADSAS supplemental materials page, as the date changed to 11/13/09, though I don't see any changes... 😎

I REALLY want an invite from MD too!
