Dear Applicant,
Your application has been downloaded into the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine AADSAS database, and will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee in the order in which it has been received. You do not need to send an official copy of your DAT scores if you requested that they be sent to our school, as they have been downloaded with your application. However, upon taking the DAT, please fax the unofficial copy of the score report to 412- 648-9571. You will receive this score upon exiting the exam. Applications will not be reviewed by the Admissions Committee until these results are received. You will be notified specifically if information is missing from your file.
IF you have already sent your application fee and photo, know that your application is being processed. If you have not yet sent the application fee and photo, please do so immediately to the address below. The deadline for the processing fee is December 1. Any processing fee arriving after that time will not be applied to your account,
nor will it be returned.
Please refrain from phoning the Admissions Office to check on the status of your application, or to see if your check has arrived. No significant status changes will be made until after the September meeting of the
Admissions Committee. Interviews are granted by invitation only, and will be emailed as soon after the meeting as possible.

IMPT: so is everyone suppose to fax them a copy of the unofficial score report or just retakers/late-takers????

guess our mailing dates were different. that i received two weeks ago. i don't think there will be any update from the pitt until then. pitt only has 6 interview sessions. 3 pre-december and 3 post-december.
Yeah I'm assuming no news until then. I'm going to go ahead and fax the unofficial scores. My official scores from ADA haven't been received by some of the schools I applied and I don't think it could hurt to go ahead and fax them...

Here's an important thing to know about Pitt - they do their application cycle VERY late compared to other schools. Last year I'm fairly sure that they didn't even start looking at applications until the end of September / start of October. Don't let this get you down however, as they will still have plenty of interview days, and the way they pick their class is they take 40 from pre-december interviews, and 40 from post-december interviews, and I think the last interview this year was in mid to late march. So even if you don't get a pre-december interview, you've still got about the same chance of getting in as someone who did.
So don't worry if you don't hear anything back for a while, it's just how Pitt rolls.

I think she means, if you take the DAT after you send your App in, but you could call to clarify - I'd ask her myself, but I'm on vacation for the next week or so.
