😕 Hey everyone,

Just wondering if I'm the only one out there who had applied to Massey in New Zealand? No one ever seems to mention it... Of course, it is a LITTLE far away for most people, but I think that's half the fun. Am I the only future-Massey student hanging out on these boards? (Currently deciding between Tufts and Massey, but leaning a bit towards the New Zealand adventure...)

Hey Kate! Well you certainly aren't the only one that applied to Massey, but you may be the only one going there!! 😉 Lol, j/k! I applied to Massey in addition to Murdoch Uni and the U of Queensland in Australia, and although accepted into all three opted for Murdoch since I have family living in the area. I would definately go for the overseas adventure. Like I am telling everyone, why would I go to school in Canada if I have the opportunity to go somewhere else? I know it's a lot of money, a long way from home, makes things complicated if you want to come back and practice in the US (atleast it's certified by the AVMA!) and will be very different from anything and everything you have ever known, but just think of the life experience! You get to travel, start your own life afresh somewhere exotic and meet some great people from all over the world! Overseas/out-of-the-coutry schooling is never ever a waste of time or money! I can guarentee you it will be worth it and you'll love every minute of it! I start at Murdoch in July so I can't speak from experience, but I did get the opportunity to go to school in South Africa last summer, and although this is a completely different schooling experience, I'm sure I'll have the same satisfaction going to Australia as I did going to Africa! So, even though we aren't going to the same schools, let me know how things are working out and if you need help with anything!

Good luck in the decision process,
Emily
