Master's GPA documented in ERAS app?

Hello,
My question is to those of you who have already been through the whole residency application/matching process: will my Master's GPA ever be seen again?! I am currently completing my master's degree and have already been accepted (unconditionally) into medical school. Is it true that the residency applications only ask for the degrees you've received and not your scores (except for med school scores, obviously)?

It is extremely important to me to get the facts -- I'm not a slacker, but I need to be certain that I don't need to kill myself to raise my gpa by a few tenths of a point this semester and over the summer .... 🙂

It depends on what is on your transcript that the med school sends to ERAS. Usually the med school sends a med school transcript. The Dean's Letter also only documents grades/histograms for your med school grades...it will mention that you completed a masters perhaps...but that's it.

I did a PhD between 2nd and 3rd year of med school. It was summarized in a few sentences in the Dean's Letter. My grades and GPA from grad school were nowhere on my application file. And I wasn't prompted to put that stuff down when I filled out my ERAS application.

I also obtained a Master's prior to med school, and as Andy says, no where was my GPA asked for or listed on ERAS...

I did my PhD between 3rd and 4th year (that's how it's done at my school) and ALL of my grad school grades were listed on my ("med school")transcript. It was a pain, since med school was H/HP/P/F and grad school classes were A/B/C/F and labwork was P/F only. And the grades are listed chronologically (not separated by MD and PhD). My PhD work made it look like I had TONS of P's and few (proportionally) H's and HP's (and some PD's commented on it). My school includes a letter stating that all grad school classes are P/F because of this. Wish they would separate med and grad school classes...
