1) Does anyone know if Dental schools have a preference as to what you earn your Masters in? Does it matter if you get it in Biotechnology, Biological Sciences, ECOLOGY, etc.? Is it frowned upon if its more research based?

2) In addition, does it matter if you earn a masters from say, Cal State Long Beach versus an Arizona State? (Does name recognition matter that much, and if so, how much?)

3) Any one here get into a masters program with under a 2.5 GPA?

I'm mainly trying to boost my GPA and need some suggestions. Thanks!

I have no clue about your dental school question so you'll have to hunt down another poster. If you do want to boost your GPA, I would suggest taking courses at any masters degree program. One that comes to mind is the John's Hopkins University program which lasts one year. It's pretty challenging stuff but I've heard good things about it. There was an older thread on here about the program, you might be able to find it using the search function.
