I graduated 2 years ago with an engineering degree, got a 3.0, and now I am learning the hard way that is not possible to get into dental school with a 3.0. I am looking into a post grad program, open to anything at this point. Do I do a masters? would this even help my case since my undergrad gpa is low? I know i would do very well in a bio related program, my gpa is just so low because of classes like thermodynamics... sadly. what about a program to just retake the prerequisites? Anything would be so helpful here. I am getting worried since I have no interviews and applied end of June

When you networked with the schools before applying (which I suggested), did they give you advice on doing an SMP? Remind us what your science GPA (BCP) is since most of your courses were harder engineering courses.

Ugh everyone kinda told me different things, but mostly to apply and try this year and then decide from there. I really wrote a very personal essay and had a lot of service hours working with kids with cleft palates (with a speech therapist) to try and stand out. Anyways, maybe it’s not over for this application and I’m being dramatic. But I really don’t see me getting in, and I want to prepare now. I was looking at doing the UMD “science in the evening” program and redoing the prereqs I got a C and B-. Sorry for rambling, I just want advice.

if you really want this, you are going to need to do a masters...
