What type of masters program is it? Research based? I'm finishing up my masters in Oral Biology and really love my topic. I'm investigating the fibroblasts within the periodontal ligament and how repair differs between trauma due to occlusion and trauma from orthodontic treatment. There is a lot to be looked at within the PDL if that interests you. If you are looking to do more of a literature review rather than laboratory research I would suggest some issues that pertain to oral health disparities. That seems to be a pretty hot topic and I think interviewers can be impressed by a student that is well versed in the public health side of dentistry.
