I have applied in this year's cycle, but I am thinking about doing a masters degree (one of the one-year ones) this year in order for 1) medical schools to be able to see the grades from the first semester, and 2) to strengthen my application in case I need to reapply. My question is are these types of programs valuable in medical school admissions, even when there is no linkage agreement (like a lot of SMP's). The weak point in my application was probably my BCPM GPA, which is why I thought taking more biology courses might be a good way to demonstrate that I can handle hard science classes. However, I do want to make sure that I'm on the right track.

Thanks
