Hey guys, I have a cGPA of 3.5 in Neurobiology and will not be taking the GRE (majority of the programs I'm looking at don't require it for 2021). I wanted to do a masters in BME before going to med school since I have decided to take an extra gap year and wanted to attend a pretty good program. Do you guys think my GPA will make the cut? Am I wasting my time applying to these programs with no chance of getting in? Are there any other things I should take into consideration regarding my stats? Let me know what you, thanks!

Schools I'm interested in: Stanford, Cornell, Columbia, UC Berkeley, UPenn (All for BME masters)

Acceptance criteria vary wildly depending on the program. The master's program I'm enrolled in takes anyone with a pulse. Check with the programs individually for minimums and chances. If cost is an issue, find one that offers assistantships.

Thank you for replying! Would you suggest I email the admission committee for each program about my chances? I'd rather not waste money on programs I have no chance at.

Email admissions and check their websites for a class profile, etc. I had to email two people involved in admissions to get a response.
