Masters

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Did you apply this year and get no interview invites?

Is your GPA < 3.0?

If you haven't taken a lot of science electives, a postbac is a good option also.

Hi...I have a similar question.

My stats are not good (oGPA is 3.2, sGPA is 2.9, DAT AA 20, TS 19, PAT 21, QR 22 RC 22, Bio 18, GC 18, OC 21 )

Can I also apply to a Masters program this year if I've already applied to dental schools this cycle?
Do I need to wait for all the rejections to come first? or can I apply to start a Masters since I would like to start this Fall if Dental School is not going to happen this cycle?
I'm thinking I need to complete a Masters program, retake the DAT, and apply to dental schools after.

Thanks ahead for your answers!

A research masters doesnt have a lot of courses which wont change your GPA a lot. Do a course-based masters which may increase your GPA to 3.3 or 3.4 and maybe redo DATs. 18 in bio is iffy.
