Here's the deal guys. 20/21/18 on DAT. 16 RC :/ I think thats what hurting me most. I have 3.1/3.1 overall and sGPA. I currently started my masters in biomedical engineering. It's still early in the game, my top schools haven't responded at this time. I'm just looking for some input. Should i continue this masters, because if I wasn't able to get in this year, I will definitely try again but the good thing is i'll have a masters, or the alternative is do a post bacc or masters in medical science. Input please, appreciate it!!

Ok well I was considering this option also. I had two pre-dec interviews and havent heard from them since then I have a AA:20 TS:20 PAT:21 GPAt:3.42 GPAs: 3.34

What I was wondering is would it be better to just retake a semester of undergrad courses (after I graduate in May) that I didn't do well in and try and bring up my GPA. I made two Cs that could be brought to A's and some B's that could be brought up as well. Or should I just go into my Masters and try and retake the DAT for a 22+?

Pretty crappy yet true. Whats sucks the most is when you know you got what it takes! I'm one of the students who did very horrible in the beginning of my college career (young, distracted, etc) and have been working my ass off for the last three years! I have hope it will pay off! GL brother.

Same boat here but what I concluded was instead of going back to redo courses, push forward and take new courses. That's just my opinion though. In addition, I'm debating about retaking the DAT because I took it over a year ago, and I know this time I will smash it. In the meantime, I'm working on this masters, something that will create a solid foundation for me until dental school hopefully. Nonetheless, GL.

BTW, I think your GPA is pretty solid, enough to land you somewhere. If you were to take upper level bio courses, one that will raise your GPA assuming you get solid A's and two it'll look much better considering you moved forward and gained more knowledge. You'll be more well rounded. Just a thought..

Thanks for the input fellas, I would like to take some more courses but frankly I cant fit it in next semester. Im a Biochem major and I only need one more upper level bio to graduate (ive taken, microbio, genetics, human phys, zoology, botany and molecular bio). Im going to be taken 17 hours next semester just to graduate lol. I think if I dont hear anything these next couple weeks I will prolly just retake the DAT before next cycle and hopefully get a 22+ and then reapply. I can retake some undergrad courses while also taking graduate courses. Perhaps thats my best bet.
