So from what I understand match rates are calculated looking at the percentage of students that participated in the match and how many matched into an AOA program, but all the non-participants participated in the MD match, but how do we know by DO school if they match into an allopathic residency?

Can someone show me what data shows DO students from a certain school matching into allopathic residencies?

Thanks.

Specific schools? A good deal of them will just say on their match lists what's allopathic or not.

I assume you're talking about 2012 data. If so, then the MD match is not until March 15th, plus the scramble, so I wouldn't expect solid data until the end of March.

As for previous years, most of the "match results" schools publish will include both DO and MD match.

There's a spreadsheet on this forum somewhere, maybe by HockeyDoc or someone like that, that breaks previous years down into further details.

Not sure if this is the data you are looking for but at TouroCOM-NV, they had 70% of last year's class match allopathic. Rest were Osteopathic AOA residencies. They distributed the list as part of interview day.

Here's a link to HockeyDr09's spreadsheet that will give a overview - but not school by school - also worth reading through the forum if your interested in this type of thing. http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=813819

Here's a link to one I made that shows school by school how many matched into MD/DO ect and specialties. It's not 100% complete - not all schools release this data. sites.google.com/site/osteopathicreference/
