I am a third year med student and scored a 205 on my step 1. I know it's not a good score, but I'm hoping that all is not lost. I'm a us citizens. I have not had any publications. Realstically, I will probably not honor any rotation, but I'm hoping for at least a few high passes. I'm not a good test taker and a major determinant of our grades in third year are shelf exams. I'll obviously try to do a lot better on step 2, but given my situation, what is the likelihood that I'll match to an IM or Peds program in NYC? Does anyone have any recommendations on which hospital I may have a chance at? I'll try to organize my subinternships accordingly. Thanks!
