Just need some advice on how I can become more competitive for matching into internal medicine at a university in california. Research experience needed? USMLE Step 1 = 203/83....input much appreciated. Thanks.

international school?
Are you a US citizen or permanent resident or a foreign student?
You also didn't give any information about the rest of your application.
clinical grades? Class rank? Any significant volunteer or other leadership experiences?
